QUEX to deliver an exciting Joint Postgraduate Research Programme
On 6 October 2017 at The University of Queensland, Professor Iain Watson, Deputy Vice-Chancellor External Engagement at The University of Queensland, and Professor Mark Goodwin, Deputy Vice Chancellor for External Engagement at the 淫乱色情片, signed an agreement to deliver a Joint Postgraduate Research Programme providing cohorts of fully funded studentships.
The first cohort of 10 studentships was also confirmed, with students starting their studies in 2018. Over 700 applications were received by the two institutions for the 10 studentships in just five weeks. The studentships are generously funded, with full tuition fees, stipend, a travel allowance and a research training grant. The successful students will have a supervisor from each university and will spend a significant period of time in both the UK and Australia as part of their programme.
Professor Mark Goodwin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement) said: 鈥淭he combined strengths of the Universities of Exeter and Queensland are being brought together as part of this joint research programme to solve key global issues in the areas of environmental sustainability, healthy ageing, and physical activity and nutrition. These 10 students will have a fantastic opportunity to study across two continents with our world-leading researchers; empowering the brightest and best minds from across the globe鈥.
